EY WABN Mentoring Program

The EY WABN Mentoring Program is designed to harness the untapped leadership potential of female athletes after their retirement from sport. Elite women athletes, who have transitioned or are in the process of transitioning from a career in sport are matched with prominent women business leaders from the IWF membership.

25 Mentees were competitively selected for the 2014-2015 program year and will each be assigned a mentor who is an accomplished and recognised leader in her field.  Mentors and mentees agree to connect five times across the course of the program year.  Mentees and their mentors will connect virtually or face-to-face, if feasible.

These elite athletes were selected based on a proven track record as impactful leaders.

The International Women’s Forum and its membership of 6,000 of the world’s most preeminent women leaders of significant and diverse achievement in 33 nations on six continents serves as an unmatched resource of mentors.  IWF’s mission is to advance opportunities for women and to build better leadership for our changing world.  The women leaders worldwide who are volunteering as mentors are well positioned to provide invaluable insights and lessons to the athletes as they advance in their leadership journeys.

In addition, mentees will have access to the WABN website and its global network of other female athletes for further networking and exchange as well as specialised leadership development content.
